The Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Forest Discovery Days event is open to all Missoula area schools. Local fifth-grade students are transported to Pattee Canyon Recreational Area over a 3 day period to have fun and learn about Montana's diverse forest resources. Topics include fire ecology, timber harvest, archaeology, wildland fire and wildlife, as well as lumberjack sports with representatives from the University of Montana Woodsman Team!

This event is only possible with the help of volunteers and generous sponsors working alongside of the Missoula Chamber's Forest Resource Committee, comprised of individuals from the public and private forestry sector.
